2012 Equinox

The all new 2013 Chevrolet Equinox is now expanding its horizons in many areas such as a new available engine, new safety features, new exterior colors, a new suspension, and new interior features. The 2013 Equinox is expected to provide drivers with an all new driving environment while still providing them with the all-American satisfaction of a life long Chevy.

The 2013 Equinox is expected to be released in the fall of 2012; depending on the progression of construction, the date may be pushed back, but the 2012 Equinox is definitely worth the wait. The all new Equinox provides drivers with a great fuel economy that is hard to find in an SUV: 20-22 MPG City and 29-32 MPG Highway.

Not only is the gas mileage better, the engine selection is also better. Drivers now have the option of purchasing the standard 2.4L 4 cylinder that delivers 182 horsepower and 172lb.-ft. of torque, or the all new 3.0L V6 engine that delivers 264 horsepower and 222lb.-ft. of torque. The Equinox has also added a new suspension. The FE2 suspension has been introduced to the 2013 Equinox to provide drivers with a better suspension, ride and handle.

The mechanical aspects are not the only things to have been improved for the upcoming new Equinox. Chevy has decided that the Equinox is going to include new safety features (standard on some models) that ensure drivers that they are always safe while traveling. The new safety features that have been implemented into the all new Equinox include Forward Collision Alert, which is a monitoring system placed inside the vehicle to warn drivers when there is the possibility of a collision. The Forward Collision Alert has been placed in many vehicles because it has the ability to prevent accidents from occurring and also has the ability to save lives.

Another safety feature that has been introduced to the 2013 Equinox is the Lane Departure Warning System. Lane Departure Warning is responsible for monitoring the position in which the vehicle is on the roadway and warning the driver if the vehicle begins to deviate from the lane in which he or she is driving. It also tells drivers what speed is appropriate for a lane shift and reminds drivers to put on their blinker before shifting lanes. In addition to protecting the driver while in a lane, the device also tells drivers when the road markings are inadequate or there is a system malfunction.

Lastly, the new and improved Equinox is equipped with Rear Park Assist. The Rear Park Assist feature provides drivers with the approximate space behind them. The feature allows drivers to park their vehicle without worry of backing into another vehicle or object.

The Equinox has brought new exterior colors to the table. With the extinction of colors Gold Mist Metallic, Mocha Steel Metallic, and Twilight Blue Metallic, Chevy has introduced new colors for this year’s upcoming Equinox. The colors include Champagne Silver Metallic, Tungsten Metallic, and Atlantis Metallic. The exterior colors for the upcoming model year are spectacular and creative, designed with the consumer in mind.

The 2013 Equinox is going to be better than ever, providing consumers with new mechanical options and interior and exterior luxuries, and consumers opting to buy a new Equinox cannot go wrong.
