Manufacturing York County, PA’s own Custom Milled and Engineered Wide Plank Flooring, Rehmeyer Wood Floors carefully selects top-quality lumber and utilizes expert craftsmanship to create one-of-a-kind flooring. Some of our favorite options are quite in vogue right now, and counterfeits abound.

Our hand-scraped flooring is the real deal, though, starting with quality hardwood lumber that’s authentically hand-tooled to provide realistic-looking distressed flooring that complements almost any décor style and will long outlast cheap imitations. Of our five Custom Collections, we offer three that utilize various degrees of distressing and can help you choose the best option for your floor.

The Rehmeyer Old Trail Collection

Rehmeyer’s Old Trail Collection is our most popular style of flooring and starts with your choice of a Cinnamon, Mocha, Smoke, or White Accent Color, which will serve to accentuate the unique grain and character markings of each board. You can choose from White Oak, Walnut, Red Oak, Pine, Hickory, or Cherry, and we’ll choose a combination of boards that are 4, 5, and 6 inches wide.

After the application of your chosen Accent Color, we’ll utilize a combination of hand-distressing techniques that we’ve developed over the years. Some hand-held power tools especially designed by our craftsmen — along with hand-tooling techniques, are used in this process. (Most of the Accent Color will be sanded and scraped away, allowing it to highlight character markings, highlighting those unique aspects of your floor boards.)

With Old Trail flooring, soft edges are standard, along with the pre-sanded surface ready for our Tung Oil finish. You can opt to add that finish, along with hand-beveled edges and flush pegs, if you so desire.

The Rehmeyer Authentic Hand-Scraped Collection

Coming in close behind our Old Trail Collection in popularity, our Authentic Hand-Scraped Collection is our most labor-intensive option, and it shows. Each individual floor board is hand-tooled in order to showcase the unique beauties of each board. No power tools whatsoever are used in this process.

You get to choose from among four premium species (Walnut, Red Oak, Hickory, and Cherry) as well as four accent colors (White, Smoke, Mocha, and Cinnamon). The soft-edged boards are in a random selection of 4-, 5-, and 6-inch widths and will come pre-sanded and ready to receive the finish of your choice.

We highly recommend our Tung oil finish, and you may want to consider adding time-worn pegs or opting for wider plank widths, among other specialty options that we offer.

The Rehmeyer Legacy Collection

As far as labor intensity and pricing, our Legacy Collection flooring falls between the Authentic Hand-Scraped Collection and the Old Trail Collection. Its vintage-inspired appearance is ideally suited to a Tuscan décor, with a subtle foot-worn effect achieved through careful application of our hand-scraping and sanding techniques.

Species from which you can choose include White Oak, Walnut, Red Birch, and Cherry. Accent Colors are Cinnamon, Mocha, and Smoke. Again, your pre-sanded floor will come ready for finishing, and we highly recommend our Tung oil finish as well as the optional time-worn pegs.
