Last weekend I was at a big stamping event where a bunch of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators were gathered to create. The event was offered by one of my upline members. It was so much fun! We made so many projects and got so many new ideas! It’s just amazing what can be made out of paper, rubber and a few other supplies!
Over the course of 4 days (I was only there for 3), we made cards, scrapbooks and a bunch of fun valentine gift ideas. The valentine gift ideas included everything from little paper backpacks to decorated paint cans (never used for paint), to lollipop flowers and much much more! I will probably be posting pictures of some of these items on my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator website soon.
One of the big things people wanted to have around this weekend was their camera. There were so many projects to photograph as well as all the fun (and silly) things we got into. Unfortunately I never did remember to take my camera but several of the ladies have been kind enough to share their photos with me through Snapfish.
I think some of the demonstrators who were there must have taken a lot of pictures! For example, I watched the one day as one of the ladies hooked up the picture printer she brought along. She had one flash drive already plugged into the printer with another one in her hand ready to switch out. Wow! She must have been taking a lot of pictures! Now I must admit, if I’d had my camera there, I probably would have been taking a lot of pictures too. Perhaps next time we have a big event like this we should order USB drives in bulk so we will all be sure to have enough storage space. We could even order custom flash drives with our team logo on them!
You know, I guess it’s events like this that give us Stampin’ Up! demonstrators more and more work to do on our scrapbooks. We go to things and end up having so much fun we just have to take pictures and then of course we just have to create scrapbook pages for them which means we just have to buy more and more of those fun stamping supplies.
I can’t wait to share the fun ideas I’ve received with my customers. I know they are going to love them! I think perhaps I’ll offer some classes in January where they can come and make valentine cards as well as valentine treats. Valentines aren’t limited to just kids, we can all enjoy the holiday! It’s going to be so much fun showing how to make all those great projects!
