USB Flash drives in bulk or singly may have been around for a while, but I’m just now beginning to grasp some measure of a technological beginner’s understanding of their features and benefits. With all I’ve learned about flash drives, I’m barely scratching the surface, especially since there are changes practically every day. As with all technology, the “cutting edge” moves pretty quickly across the frontier, and standing still is as good (or bad) as moving backwards.
It takes some doing to keep up with everything happening in the world of custom flash drives. Despite the enormity of that challenge, CFgear is not only keeping up with all the changes—they’re initiating many of them. These people are downright passionate about flash drives—school flash drives, custom flash drives, bulk flash drives, … —you name it, if it’s in any way related to USB flash drives, they’re probably already involved or working on being involved. They’re even involved with a company that is using flash drives for musicians just getting started in marketing themselves and their music.
All it takes is a brief glance at the CFgear.com website and flash drive blog to realize, beyond the shadow of any doubt, that the CFgear crew are flash drive oriented. Besides their focus on the flash drives that already are, they’re eager to see what USB flash drives are waiting in the future … not only “see,” but create—CFgear wants to keep on creating the USB drives that customers want, no matter how impossible customer requests and suggestions may seem. If anything, CFgear seems to thrive on apparent impossibilities.
They have worked to capture the essence of various organizations in the bulk flash drives they provide to them. From wonderfully accurate colors (Thank you, Pantone!) and laser etching, to amazing designs with fascinating styles, to perfectly matched shapes see the DJ Deadmau5 flash drive, for example), CFgear seems to have a gift for matching the flash drive to the customer. Their goal is to provide the perfect flash drive to meet your needs, even (or especially) if that means designing a whole new piece of equipment. From the outside in, they’re always looking for ways to improve their products, down to what shows up on the F: drive when a customer’s flash drive is inserted into the PC. What will they think of next?!
Most likely, what they think of next will be something that none of the rest of us ever dreamed. From USB drives built into one of those straps you put around your neck to hold your I.D. badge to flash drives that look like big ol’ silver horse pills, CFgear is right up there, blazing a trail into the unexplored regions of custom flash drives, and they’re not at all shy in their explorations. They thrive on customer suggestions and recommendations, and judging from the testimonials page of their website, they’re doing a fine job!
With each passing year, it seems as though fewer people are passionate about what they do. CFgear has a pretty good handle on that aspect of business, and it shows in what they do…for them, work appears to be fun.
