Childhood Steps & Furniture Stages with Maxtrix Furniture

Last updated on December 8, 2014 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

It would be amazing to count up all the clothes a child grows out of. A new pair of shoes or pants can be outgrown in a month! Furniture can also be outgrown. From cradle to toddler bed, from princess decor to chic, children’s bedrooms will change as they grow. Parents need bedroom furniture that works for the long-term. Maxtrix® furniture, as seen in The Bedroom Source’s showroom at Carle Place, Long Island, adapts to almost any age – even up to adulthood. You don’t even have to worry about matching the furniture; each Maxtrix piece comes in three colors: white, natural, and chestnut. So you can buy a bed now, and a few years down the road, add a desk or dresser or whatever you need!

Once your child grows out of a cradle and into a normal-size bed, consider the variety of Maxtrix bedroom furniture: daybeds, single beds, loft beds, and a vast variety of bunk beds. Pick whatever works best for you, then add the accessories appropriate for your child’s age. In this case, take a look at the playhouse options; they come in a variety of colors and styles, including houses, forts, or castles. First, there are the top tents (for any Maxtrix bed), then an underbed curtain for the loft or bunk beds, and, for the slide bunks, an amazing castle tower, complete with flying pennant.

The bottom of a loft bed neatly accommodates a larger dresser and a bookcase – or a smaller dresser and two bookcases, or whatever combination you desire. Loft beds provide plenty of storage without sacrificing floor space.

Even if you don’t have a loft bed, you can still take advantage of the variety of storage options from Maxtrix. First, and perhaps most importantly, are dressers. Maxtrix has a variety of sizes. You can get dressers with a single column of drawers, including ones with two, three, three and a half, four, four and a half, five, five and a half. You can also choose between narrow and wide drawers. The six drawer dresser is wide with two columns of three drawers each.

There are also bookcases – great for storing books, toys, games, and even shoes and clothes. They come with three, four, five, six, or eight shelves; the three, four, and five shelves come in a single column while the six and eight shelves are in two. You can get whatever you need!

Tweens and Teens

As a girl gets older, she will probably spend more time in front of the mirror. So why not add a mirror to her dresser? Maxtrix gives you the flexibility of purchasing a dresser at one time and getting the mirror later.

High school homework is significantly tougher than elementary, so you can accommodate your child by adding a desk to the bedroom. Maxtrix desks come in several styles (with side drawers or without), and can fit under the high loft bed or ultra high loft bed – another way to conserve space! You could also add a hutch on top for extra storage.

Kids change as they grow, and their bedroom will as well. Consider how adaptable Maxtrix furniture is, and make the childhood transitions easy on yourself – and your child’s bedroom.
