Prestige Collection Hardwood Flooring: Unblemished & Unrivalled

Created with the same individualized attention as the other four Rehmeyer flooring collections, the Prestige Collection is distinguished by using clear grade lumber without knots or other character marks. While many of our customers like the look of reclaimed wood, the Prestige Collection is for those wishing to achieve a uniform appearance to complement a room’s formal design.

Prestige Collection flooring comes in random widths ranging from 3 to 6 inches. This expertly milled flooring is sold unfinished, with the intention of being sanded and finished onsite. For customers who request them, the following options are available:

• Flush Pegs
• Tung Oil Finish
• Pre-sanding with either Soft Edges or Microbevel
• Matching Accessories (such as casings, crown, chair rail, and base boards)

The Prestige Collection offers a choice of 7 possible species, each with distinctive coloring and other characteristics providing uniquely artistic backdrops for richly crafted rooms. Perhaps our most unique offering is Birdseye Maple. This unique hardwood flooring has a creamy white-blond stage across which endearing bird’s eye markings dance. This sought-after species is a definite favorite for both furniture and flooring. We recommend a water-based finish in order to showcase the natural coloring and unique markings of this species.

Cherry is another furniture and flooring favorite. Our Prestige Collection Cherry offers the kind of elegant appearance appreciated by many. While it begins as a light-colored wood with sap wood lighter than the reddish brown heart wood, the paint brush of time deepens it into a dramatic, rich auburn.

Purple Heart flooring provides a breathtakingly bold appearance, delighting the senses with its chocolate-purple hue. With fine grain, this stunning species is indeed rare, but it is still being harvested responsibly in Central and South America. Like Birdseye Maple, we recommend a water-based finish in order to keep this wood’s natural beauty visible.

White Oak flooring is known for its classic, traditional appearance while able to complement even the most modern décor. From restorations to new constructions, this species boasts natural blonde undertones, providing a light backdrop for your own unique decorating style.

Walnut offers flexibility of design, as well, with deep but warm brown tones that become even deeper with a Tung Oil finish. Our Prestige Collection Walnut flooring is comprised of clear grade unsteamed Walnut for the highest quality possible.

Ash looks amazing with just about any finish. The natural white coloring can be accentuated with a water-based finish or can take on a golden appearance with a Tung Oil finish. Our Prestige Ash uses clear grade lumber that’s milled with the high-quality process for which Rehmeyer is well known.

Mahogany is also a great choice if formality is your aim. With its straight grain and coloring that deepens over time, Prestige Collection Mahogany is virtually free from character markings. Like all the lumber we use, our Mahogany is responsibly harvested in areas where it is not endangered.
