The Showtime Wireless Digital Photo Kit

Last updated on August 29, 2008 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

We have three boys.  There are tons of pictures of the first.  Some pictures of the second.  And the poor little one, well . . . we could do a little better for him.  He’s only 7 months old, but he’s only had one professional picture taken and we always forget to take our own.

I enjoy scrapbooking but I must admit I am way behind.  My oldest loves to take out “his” book and look at his pictures.  The middle, well, sometimes we’re doing good to even find a picture of him for him to see.  Why?  Very few of them have been printed.  For the most part, the pictures are stored away on a hard drive seldom to be seen again.

Because I am slow with my scrapbooking, it’s hard to imagine anyone being able to see all our pictures anytime soon.  That is, until just a couple minutes ago when I came across a neat product offered by The Home Automation Store.  It’s the VK73A SHOWTIME Wireless Digital Photo/Video Viewer Kit.

This is so neat!  The kit allows pictures saved on a computer to be shown on a TV via a 2.4 GHz video transmitter in slide show fashion.  That would be great for when the grandparents are around so we could all sit on the couch and see the latest birthday pictures!  It is possible to show 1000s of pictures (if we had the time) or to locate and show specific pictures in a matter of minutes.  The description says it only takes 5 minutes to set up the show and provides a remote allowing quick navigation through the pictures and a way to zoom in on the photos.

That really sounds like fun!  Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to give up scrapbooking, but maybe I can enjoy it more if I don’t feel guilty for not having everything done at once.

While on The Home Automation Store site I thought I’d check out the cameras they have available.  They do not have any normal handheld cameras like I would use for my scrapbooking but they do have the XX17A XCam2 WideEye Color Video Camera and the XX20A NightWatch Wireless Low-Light B/W Camera.  They look like they would be great for home security needs.  With the ability to watch the video footage from ones TV or computer they look like they would provide a wonderful sense of security.

As I write, I’m feeling the need to do some scrapbooking.  It’s time to get some more of those pictures printed and get to work.  I’m going to keep the SHOWTIME Wireless Digital Photo/Video Viewer Kit in mind though.  For just $35.99 it sounds like a wonderful (and probably much cheaper) way to show off those boys of mine.
