Smart Highschool Football Teams Use Flash Drives

Last updated on August 17, 2010 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

Most high schools will begin football practice the first few weeks in August. They will have intense practices for 2 or 3 weeks before school starts to get their football players back into game shape. They will spend hours making them run laps, sprints, dropbacks, course obstacles, and many other conditioning exercises. They will give them a strict diet to follow that is high in carbohydrates and proteins. The point of the several weeks of conditioning is to build up the player’s endurance and overall athleticism.

However, another important aspect during the weeks of training is to develop, understand, and memorize game plays. Even if the coach has the most fit, bulked up player, it will mean nothing if they can’t understand how to follow a defensive or offensive play. Coaches may decide to print out hundreds of pages of paper with drawings of plays on them to hand to each of their players. They will also provide them to other coaches and assistant coaches of the team.

But with all of the pages of paper, it is guaranteed that a player is going to lose a few plays. It could be the play that saves the game during close scores. Rather then printing out and wasting hundreds of pages of paper, coaches could have their plays preloaded onto a customized flash drive.

You can have a section solely for the storage of all of your plays. Players could easily access the plays on a home computer. They could study, examine, and learn them. The flash drive could even be customized to allow the player to add their own information into it. Perhaps they have a way for remembering the play that is unique. They could type it in and save it on the flash drive.

Usually teams spend a good deal of time looking at previous years and plays that saved the game and even plays that went wrong. Coaches could have clips of those videos uploaded onto the flash drive. The team could sit before a projector and easily watch key clips that would be beneficial for them to understand.

For fun, coaches could even add a few bloopers or funny plays preloaded onto the flash drive. This can serve as a great ice breaker and fun way to get the players interacting and working together as a team.

High school and college sport teams could benefit from the use of bulk flash drives. It doesn’t necessarily have to be football. The baseball, softball, and basketball team could also use a flash drive to store key documents, pictures, and videos pertaining to their sport.

There could even be a special spot on the flash drive to keep track of key statistics, scores, and rankings in their divisions. The team’s statistician could use a flash drive to keep track of each player’s progress in each game.

The possibilities for bulk flash drives are endless for sports teams. CFgear can customize a flash drive that will help your team remember plays, look to past video clips, and even keep track of stats. Just don’t lose your flash drive on a competing team’s turf or they may discover your best plays.
