Rehmeyer Premium Hardwood Flooring isn’t available at big box retailers. You can’t pull it off a shelf or get it delivered this week. Why? Our flooring is literally handcrafted, made specifically for you. That’s true whether you choose from among our Custom Collections or venture into unknown territory with our Extreme Custom flooring. While our Custom Collections offer plenty of species, styles, options, and accessories from which you can choose, our Extreme Custom flooring is truly our specialty. Whichever route you decide on, you’ll receive custom service and premium products.

Uniform Starting Point

No matter what your taste or your particular flooring needs, any Rehmeyer floor you select or design will meet certain standards. We always start with the highest quality character-grade lumber available, whether it’s responsibly harvested new lumber or reclaimed wood. We then mill that lumber right here in York County, Pennsylvania, using exceptional precision as we end match and tongue-and-groove each individual board in house.

Most of our floors are constructed from extra-long, wide boards in any of 11 species and 5 Custom Collections. Alternatively, you could go the route of Extreme Custom Flooring, allowing for even greater customization.

Unusual Beauty

The Pennsylvania Street of Dreams home tour includes workmanship from only the very best builders. One of the seven builders included for the 2014 builders’ showcase, Farinelli Construction, used Rehmeyer Premium Hardwood Flooring products throughout the majority of their prize-winning house. Winning Overall Best of Show and other awards, Farinelli’s inclusion of Rehmeyer flooring is telling of the superiority of our products.

The Showcase Home included custom-milled flooring made from 9-inch-wide Engineered, Center-Cut White Oak. Our Standard Soft Edges combined with Hand Distressed details, Smoke Accents, and a custom stain. Finished with three coats of hand-rubbed Tung Oil, the stunning result was no surprise to us.

Unique Repurposing

Another recent custom creation of ours began with reclaimed antique White Oak boards hand-picked from a Gettysburg barn. The naturally weathered and distressed lumber included original peg holes, authentic worm holes and saw marks, along with cracks and checks. Such natural rustic charm cannot be recreated, and we relished being able to enhance such natural beauty with custom hand-scraping, wire-brushing, and grain-accenting craftsmanship.

Custom stain helped us enhance the already rich character and natural patina, further emphasizing the warmth of the lumber’s seasoned beauty. While we specialize in flooring comprised of long, wide boards installed in a traditional pattern, this particular job included an unconventional herringbone pattern, providing quite a dramatic effect.

Whether you’re leaning toward an Old World ambiance, a classic style, or a modern showcase-worthy atmosphere, Rehmeyer Premium Hardwood Flooring can provide the custom design that meets your particular taste.
